Wagering requirement

How many times you must wager the bonus amount before you can withdraw. E.g. a 35× requirement on a €100 bonus means €3,500 in bets.

Also: wagering · wagering requirement

What does this mean?

A wagering requirement shows how many times the bonus, or the bonus plus deposit amount, must be played through before a withdrawal. For example, 35× means the qualifying amount must be bet 35 times before cashing out.

It's one of the most important terms, because it strongly determines a bonus's real value and risk level.

Example: a €100 bonus with a 35× requirement means €3,500 of bets. If the requirement applies to bonus + deposit, the amount is even larger.

How to read a wagering requirement?

1

Find the multiplier

Look in the terms for a number like 35× — that's the wagering multiplier.

2

Check the calculation base

Check whether the multiplier applies to the bonus, or to the bonus + deposit.

3

Account for bet weighting

Slots often contribute 100%, table games less or not at all.

4

Watch the deadline

The requirement must be met within the validity period, or the bonus expires.

Frequently asked questions

Is a lower requirement always better?

Generally yes — a lower multiplier means fewer bets. But also look at the maximum payout and game weightings, as they affect the outcome too.

Why don’t table games meet the requirement?

Games with a low house edge (e.g. blackjack) often contribute only partially or 0% towards wagering, so the bonus can't be exploited risk-free.
